As CMO for this dynamic medical technology start-up, Murem manages a wide range of responsibilities including strategic planning, marketing, industry relations, sales development, and fundraising, regularly engaging her business and professional networks. She develops, prioritizes, and executes Micro C go-to-market strategies for targeted market segments: the U.S. commercial market – ambulatory surgery centers, hospitals, and physician practices, enterprise markets such as hospital corporations, and federal and state government organizations. Murem leads marketing communications including branding, social media messaging and public relations, demand generation, lead generation, channel partner development, outbound prospecting, and event marketing.
Murem graduated from Cornell University as a General Motors Scholar with a BA in Government and earned an MBA from the Yale School of Management with a concentration in Marketing and Strategy. As a Fortune 500 marketing, business development and sales leader, Murem has delivered hardware, software, software-as-a-service, and outsourcing services to U.S. and international customers in industries ranging from healthcare and pharmaceuticals to information technology, telecommunications, consumer products, automotive, retail, and financial services. For VC and angel-backed tech ventures, Murem has positioned companies for growth and successful exits. She serves as a Startup Boot Camp mentor with the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) of Georgia Tech. As a WomenHeart Champion trained at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, Murem advocates for, educates and supports women with heart disease or at risk.
